Each year for the past 15 years, the American International Club of Geneva (AIC) raises money to support local charities through the annual Holiday Fund. This is a long-standing tradition of the Club and over the years has had a tremendous impact on the Geneva community by providing critical support for a wide variety of charities helping those in need.
In addition to the annual holiday fund, AIC Civic Concerns has put an emphasis on engaging Club members in community activities. Over the past years, the AIC has partnered with the Geneva Red Cross on a number of activities.
On International Red Cross Day, the AIC works closely with the Geneva Red Cross to organize activities with several corporate companies across Geneva. AIC Volunteers sell Red Cross articles and collect used books. All proceeds go towards the Geneva Red Cross. Several AIC Corporate Partners often participate in such an event including Hewlett Packard, Procter and Gamble, JP Morgan and Dupont. Continuing our partnership with the Geneva Red Cross, members of the AIC committee and friends gather annually in December to prepare holiday gift baskets for families in need.
The AIC plans on continuing its participation in Red Cross Day in Geneva and would like to expand the list of companies involved. If your firm is interested, please contact the AIC Office. We have also continued our relationship with Carrefour-Rue and look forward to continuing our “Feed the Hungry” events at Jardin Montbrillant, as well as working with them on other activities throughout the years.
If you would like to be involved in Civic Concern events, please contact the AIC Club office or fill in the volunteer form.
