Biography
Patrizia Carlevaro has been living in Geneva for over 20 years. She is a senior pharmaceutical executive with extensive international experience. She has been Managing Director of Otsuka SA up to 2015. From 1995 to 2011 she served as Lilly Head Unit where she developed global health-related initiatives and transfer of technologies in key emerging markets. She represented companies at trade associations and chaired industry working groups.
Up to 1995 she lived in New York and worked as Head of the Unicef Essential Drugs Unit. In that position, she was responsible for global pharmaceutical policies and programs. Prior she worked in French multinational pharmaceutical and cosmetics’ company. She has also worked in the West African Republic of Guinea, where she collaborated on a UNIDO project to establish a national drug manufacturing plant.
Patrizia obtained her Doctorate in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologies, as well as her License in Pharmacy at Italy’s Pavia University. She is Member of the Florence Nightingale International Foundation’s Board of Directors. European Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association, UNCTAD Women in Business Award and the Cercle des Dirigeants d’ Entreprises of Geneva.
Patrizia has enjoyed living in New York and working with America partners abroad.
