American International Club Announces New Partnership with Cancer Support Switzerland
The American International Club (AIC) is proud to announce a new and meaningful partnership with Cancer Support Switzerland (CSS), an organization dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized support to individuals affected by cancer — all in the English language. This partnership marks a significant step in AIC’s ongoing mission to support impactful causes within our community and beyond.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Cancer Support Switzerland, who this year celebrates 25 years of service. Over the past quarter-century, CSS has grown from a small, Geneva-based initiative to a nationally recognized organization, now expanding its reach beyond Geneva to support more families across Switzerland. Their mission — to walk alongside those touched by cancer, offering emotional support, practical help, and a community of care — resonates deeply with our values at the AIC.
To commemorate this new alliance and further CSS’s important work, two major fundraising events were held this year: our annual 4th of July Celebration and the much-anticipated Charity Golf Tournament. Both events were a resounding success, thanks to the united efforts of our members, volunteers, and community partners.
At the 4th of July Celebration, held in true American spirit, guests came together for a day of family fun, great food, live music, and patriotic pride — all while raising awareness and funds for CSS. The highlight was a moving tribute to cancer survivors and a speech from CSS representatives, reminding us of the importance of solidarity and care in difficult times.
Our annual Charity Golf Tournament followed with equal enthusiasm. Held in the picturesque Swiss countryside, players enjoyed a day of sport and camaraderie, teeing off in support of a great cause. Generous contributions from sponsors, participants, and donors ensured a record-breaking fundraising total this year — all going directly to support cancer patients and their families.
This partnership is only the beginning. AIC and CSS look forward to many future collaborations that will enhance the well-being of our community and strengthen the support network available to English-speaking individuals navigating cancer in Switzerland.
