AIC Apéros – Building Connections and Community

The AIC Apéros continue to be one of the most valued and successful activities offered to our members throughout the year. These informal gatherings provide a welcoming environment where members, friends, and guests can meet, exchange ideas, strengthen professional and personal relationships, and enjoy the camaraderie that makes the AIC community so special.

In Geneva, the AIC Apéros are traditionally held on the first Thursday of each month at a variety of popular venues across the city. During the first half of the year, members gathered at several excellent locations:

  • January: Babbo Café in Eaux Vives
  • February and March: Luigia Restaurant, Confederation Centre
  • April: Rossini Café at Rive
  • May and June: Chez Bacchus, at Rive

The changing venues offer members the opportunity to experience different settings while maintaining the relaxed and friendly atmosphere that has become a hallmark of the AIC Apéros.

In addition to the Geneva gatherings, AIC members in the La Côte region enjoy regular meetings in Morges, where the Apéros take place on the third Thursday of each month at the Alambic Lounge Bar. These events have become an important meeting point for members living and working outside Geneva, further strengthening the association's regional network.

The primary purpose of the AIC Apéros is to create opportunities for members to connect with one another outside formal meetings and events. They encourage networking, friendship, professional collaboration, and the sharing of experiences among members from diverse backgrounds and industries.

The Apéros also serve as an excellent introduction to the AIC for prospective members. Guests who attend can learn more about the association, meet current members, and gain a firsthand understanding of the benefits of belonging to the organization. Many attendees who first join an Apéro as guests later become active members, contributing their skills, ideas, and enthusiasm to the continued growth of the AIC.

The consistently strong attendance at both the Geneva and Morges gatherings demonstrates the importance of these events in fostering a vibrant, engaged, and inclusive community. The AIC looks forward to continuing this tradition and welcoming both familiar faces and new participants at future Apéros.
