Civic Concerns 23/24

We are proud to announce the Club’s new Civic Concerns Charity for the next two years (from 1 July 2023 until 30 June 2025):  Youth Underground (www.youth-underground.com).

Youth Underground is a Geneva-based Swiss nonprofit association whose mission is to prevent human trafficking through youth education, awareness-building and advocacy.  The approach of Youth Underground is to focus on education by encouraging youth voices to share what they learn, be aware of what this illicit trade is all about, and generate an “echo” worldwide. 

Youth Underground has over 20 years of experience with humanitarian associations, a large network of key associations, companies, and the media along with a strong social media expertise and reach.  In addition, Youth Underground collaborates with  schools and universities in the Geneva region to educate and raise awareness among students. 

AIC’s Civic Concerns partnership with Youth Underground will include these activities:

• Fundraising at AIC events where members can make a donation to the charity upon registration.
• Silent Auction at the AIC Thanksgiving Gala on 24 November 2023 where 100% of the proceeds will go to the charity.
• Jog-A-Thon/Walk-A-Thon fundraising event that will take place in Spring 2024 (details to be announced).
• Presentations by Youth Underground to AIC (details to be announced).
• Co-sponsoring of Youth Underground events (details to be announced).
• Sale of AIC / YU T-Shirts where 100% of the proceeds will go to the charity.

How can you help?

Since June, you have had the opportunities to donate at every AIC event, either by adding to the final total of your ticket price, donating cash during the event, or sending us the money via twint and bank transfer. Our annual drive will culminate with the Thanksgiving Dinner where we hope to raise enough funds to be impactful.
