ABOUT THE PROJECT

This is an International fundraising campaign to finalize the design, production and certification of a purpose-built incubator for tough environments. It also finances the training, logistics, and maintenance of this equipment.  The incubator enables the protection and growth of premature babies in low income countries thanks to the rugged hygienic interior, innovative thermal battery, and regular heat control. It is made of smart materials.

The incubator has been designed by HUG Geneva University Hospitals, CHUV State of Vaud University Hospital, EPFL Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne, ESSENTIALMED Foundation, ENSPY National Advanced School of Engineering of Yaoundé, HES SO University of Applied Sciences & Arts Western Switzerland, UNIGE University of Geneva, CURES University Research Center on Energy for Health Care.
