Claudio Bozzo is the Chief Operating Officer of MSC, Mediterranean Shipping Company S.A. and Chairman, Mediterranean Shipping Company (USA) Inc.

A former student of Political Science at the University of Genoa, Claudio Bozzo is a much acknowledged leader in the maritime industry.

Having joined MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company in New York in 1994 as a clerk in the intermodal department, Claudio rose through the ranks to become President and CEO of MSC USA, where he elevated the business to the market leader position in the United States and saw it triple in size in 10 years.

Claudio’s credentials saw him become the youngest-ever company president to join the United Nations International Maritime Hall of Fame in 2011, and two years later he was appointed president of the European Chamber of Commerce in USA.

In 2014, Bozzo was appointed to the newly created global position of Chief Operating Officer at MSC’s global headquarters.

In parallel, throughout his career, Bozzo has been recognized for his Italian maritime passion with numerous awards from prestigious international academic and cultural organizations such as Italian Language Intercultural Alliance, American University in Rome and National Italian American Foundation, to name but a few. 

Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) is a privately owned global organization operating a network of over 480 offices in 150 countries, employing a team of over 60,000 dedicated individuals.
