The State of Geneva's Finances
Geneva`s top political and business leaders will share their views on Geneva's finances and pending tax policies, and what it means for business.
COVID subsidy payments to businesses and individuals have stretched Geneva's finances, and are now being tapered down. A pending globally-imposed tax increase may also hinder businesses. We look forward to hearing our Speakers' views on Geneva's fiscal and tax challenges, as well as our interactive "Town Hall" Q&A session.
All current covid measures will be followed. A valid Covid Certificate will be mandatory to attend this event, along with ID to verify the certificate.Current regulations mean that all food and drink can only be consumed when seated at the table, and your mask can only be removed when seated. Masks should be worn when standing or moving around the room.
Nathalie Fontanet has been a member of the Geneva cantonal government since June 2018. She is head of the Department of Finance and Human Resources. A representative of the Liberal-Radical Party (PLR), she entered politics in 2003.
Ivan Pictet is currently President of the Fondation Portail des Nations and member of the Board of the Kofi Annan Foundation, and had served as Senior Managing Partner of Banque Pictet & Cie SA for many years.
