Gaggini is outspoken in her role to preserve entrepreneurial freedom for all businesses, to improve Switzerland's global competitiveness and to preserve a high level of employment in Switzerland.

Originally from Ticino, Cristina Gaggini has been the Director of Economiesuisse in French-speaking Switzerland since April 2009. In this role she meets with both political and economic representatives, as well as reaching out to the local population. She attaches great importance to dialogue and respect for differing opinions, and is committed to promoting attractive conditions for small and large companies based in Switzerland

Cristina started her career at Switzerland Global Enterprise, an organization that helps Swiss companies diversify their international business opportunities. In 1993, she joined Vaudoise Insurance, a listed company, where she rose through the ranks to become Head of Corporate Communications and Group Secretary General. During her ten years at Vaudoise, she gained a solid understanding of the private sector and the impact of political decisions on companies.

Cristina holds a degree in political science from the University of Lausanne and a higher federal diploma in public relations. Although she is not a member of any political party, she does not hide her convictions in favor of a liberal and sustainable economic policy.
