Following the upheaval in the travel industry during covid we hear from these experts who will address the current topics of the global travel industry. André Schneider and Romain Vetter share their unique local expertise and thoughts for the future of travel from Geneva.

Romain Vetter has been SWISS’s Head of Western Switzerland since 1 May 2021. After joining the company in 2015, he was initially in charge of Sales Channel Management. He then served in Application Management as a project manager, working on the development of new distribution channels such as the New Distribution Capability (NDC). Prior to assuming his present function he was Head of Leisure Procurement Management for the Lufthansa Group, developing collaborations with key partners within the travel sector. Before joining the aviation industry, Romain Vetter spent several years at Omnicom in Geneva, where he held various management positions in the digital marketing segment.
André Schneider

After a career as a professional musician in major classical orchestras, André Schneider was recruited by IBM to create an IT consulting practice based in Geneva, but working throughout Europe.
Expanding on this experience he joined the World Economic Forum where he was instrumental in creating the world’s leading global multi-stakeholder platform. Globalizing the concept and expanding it around the world, with special emphasis on China and the Middle East.
With an emphasis on sustainable development, André developed projects in areas including, renewable energies, sustainable competitiveness, sustainable mobility, sustainable infrastructure grading and financing and social banking.
André then joined EPFL, as Vice-President for Resources and Infrastructures.
On September 1, 2016, André joined Genève Aéroport as its new CEO.
André is also the chairman of the innovation board of the Aviation Research Center Switzerland; chairman of World Climate Ltd, the world’s leading media and events platform to accelerate the development of the global green economy; and Vice-Chairman of Global Infrastructure Basel, the sustainable infrastructure forum and summit.
