From Moscow to Washington, D.C.: a European view

Why does the Russian political regime seem so strange to us in the West? Because of history, geography and proximity, some European countries “know” Russia better than others. Over the past couple of hundred years, the USA, as well as some European countries, and that includes the United Kingdom, have been both antagonists and protagonists.

Our Guest of Honour, currently on sabbatical leave, is in a unique position to provide a European view of an American culture that feels sometimes very different from our European perspective. For example, gun laws, the religious dimension, the cost of education and healthcare, the food, but also a very dynamic economy, a strong investment climate and a polarized society that seems to influence much of Europe as well.

Join us for a better understanding of the peculiarities of both political cultures, and how they have an impact on Europe.

Whether you are British, American, European, or simply have an interest in transatlantic relations, this is one BSCC/AIC event you just cannot afford to miss!

We will also be joined by members and guests of the Business Club of Belgo-Luxembourgeois en Suisse et au Liechtenstein.
