Tressa Rae Finerty, Chargé d'Affaires of the United States to the United Nations and Other International Organizations in Geneva, Switzerland will join the American International Club of Geneva (AIC) on March 27, 2026, at the Hotel Royal.
Chargé Finerty will participate in a fireside chat moderated by AIC’s Ron Banks. This interactive event will provide AIC members and guests with the opportunity to engage with Chargé Finerty, ask questions, and take part in an informal, Chatham-house rules, discussion on current developments in multilateral affairs impacting Geneva’s international organizations.
Tressa Rae Finerty assumed duties as the Chargé d’Affaires for the U.S. Mission to the United Nations and Other International Organizations in Geneva on January 20, 2025. She arrived as Deputy Chief of Mission in May 2024. Prior to returning to Geneva, she was a career member of the Senior Foreign Service, a Senior Fellow at Georgetown University’s Institute for the Study of Diplomacy (2023-2024) and Deputy Executive Secretary in the Office of the Secretary (2020 2023).
She brings extensive experience in diplomacy, international cooperation, and humanitarian response.
