Hello AIC Members,
Once again the Sports Section of the AIC in partnership with Hôpital De La Tour is going for a “first”.
On the heels of the first Snow Day and Bowling Challenges we would like to organize a guided mountain hike in the same area we went to for our Snow Day. Those of you who participated in this event will certainly recognize the area but will be marvelled by the beauty of it in summer.
The general idea of the event is a 2.5 hour trek followed by an all - inclusive lunch at the Lac Retaud Chalet located on the shores of the lake bearing the same name. Following lunch the participants will be able to continue their mountain experience by taking advantage of the many activities the area has to offer (canoeing, fishing etc.).
Pierre and Marguerite Kunz, our Snow Day guides, will be with us again to insure we take full advantage of our hiking experience. They tell me that the hike is accessible to adults and children (10 years+) that can handle a 2.5 hour walk over uneven terrain with a 200 meter incline over the 2.5 hours. Piece of cake!!!
At present we are looking at a maximum per person participation fee of CHF 60 including lunch and the guides.
