Members of the American International Club of Geneva attended the International Telecommunication Union's AI for Good Global Summit that took place in Geneva 8-11 July 2025. This excellent 4-day conference provided important insights into Artificial Intelligence, a paramount technological trend driving societal change globally in the 21st Century. The summit covered a wide range of AI-related topics including: AI Governance, International AI Standards, AI and Machine Learning, the Future of AI-Powered Scientific Breakthroughs, Robotics, Computers and AI, Quantum Technologies, AI for Healthcare, AI for Space, AI for Equality, AI in Education, Developing Responsible AI, and AI's Impact on Art and Music.
Attendees also viewed cutting edge tech products on display such as robots, drones, autonomous vehicles, helicopter taxis, AI software, and AI educational tools. In addition, attendees benefitted from valuable networking opportunities, including with Ufotech Corp, the speed networking seating system using a robotic carrousel.
The AIC expresses our deep gratitude to Dr. Bilel Jamoussi, Deputy-Director Telecommunication Standardization Bureau (TSB) at the ITU. On 21 May 2025, Dr. Jamoussi gave the Club a "sneak preview" of the ITU's AI for Good Global Summit when he spoke on the topic of "Ensuring AI truly is a force for good".
