AIC Thanksgiving Celebration 2019 – draft version 1.3
A festive soirée once again in the Grand Ballroom of the Hotel InterContinental in Geneva! Over 100 members, partners and their family and friends joined us on the last Friday in November. The guest of honor was the recently-arrived US Ambassador to the UN in Geneva, Ambassador Andrew Bremberg together with his wife and four children, We also welcomed Marines from the US Mission detachment. After cocktails, the doors opened to geneous buffets selections of entrées, roast turkey and ham with all the trimmings, and desserts. But where was the pumpkin pie!? The chocolate mousse!? We raised over CHF 3000 for our selected charity, the Salvation Army Accuiel de Nuit, though an active silent auction and direct donations. The soirée concluded by dancing the night away with the Mark-Albert Band. A big « Thank You » for the support of our Corporate Partners, the geneous donors of the auction lots, sponsors of the prizes in the drawing, and all those who attended to make this such a enjoyable American celebration.
