Amy Holmes is a broadcast political analyst with Rasmussen Reports. She is a frequent guest on CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC, among other net-works. Holmes covered Election Night 2016 with ABC News/Facebook and will be joining their inauguration coverage. She has been featured in numerous publications, and published in USA Today, The Washington Post, National Review, as well as in the Swiss magazine “Die Welt-woche”.
She has interviewed numerous top political figures, including the president elect, as well as best-selling authors, journalists, and celebrities. Holmes' political background includes senior speechwriter for former Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist of Tennessee during which Holmes had an up-close view of the inner workings of the na-tion’s capital – a front row seat to the political battles that make national news. Prior to joining Senator Frist's team, Holmes served the CEO of the Corporation for National and Community Service, the federal agency which oversees AmeriCorps. She also served as economic project director and campus project director for the Washington non-profit Independent Women’s Forum. Born in Zambia, Holmes grew up in Seattle and received a BA in economics from Princeton University.
